hi all. the tribute link goes to the picture above, not to dominique.
Corrected. Thanks for letting us know!
So beautiful and fearless! USA!
So beautiful.
*throwing virtual confetti*
It has been so fun to watch her– she is so talented and effervescent, and her smile lights up the room.
I am so proud of this talented and beautiful young lady. She showed spirit, poise and true grace under fire. My 17 year old daughter and I have been watching the Olympics together and we both agreed that Gabby was not getting her props from the commentators as she should have been. She did not receive the accolades for leading her team to victory in the team competition and the question that the female commentator asked her after she won the All around mad me want to jump through the TV and choke the shit out of her until her eyes popped out! But last night, she showed the world that not only did she deserve to be in the Olympics, she was the BADDEST of them all. I hugged my daughter and said to her, “the best gymnast in the world is an African-American girl!” You go Gabby!!! You made us so proud! God bless you and God bless your wonderful, single mother who did it right!!
TAKE THAT BITCHES!!!!
Bob Costas: “Gabby [Douglas] is the first African American woman to win this medal. Although the barriers have long since been torn down, some may still find those barriers in their imagination.” #stuffwhitepeoplesay
Gabby is a shinning star. She is a fine example to our young sisters who dare to dream. Look what happens when you put the work in and prepare. Excellence.
